Lidar mapping with drone

Lidar mapping with drone

We explain the operation of Photogrammetry with drones for Lidar Mapping work

Lidar mapping with drone

It is carried out with the Matrice 300 RTK drone, a Lidar mapping from which once processed with the software we obtain a cloud of points from which we can then extract coordinates of points of interest, volumes, distances and areas.

How does LiDAR work in surveying?

LiDAR technology incorporates laser sensors that help calculate the distance between these sensors and the surface of the land we want to work with. In this way we will be able to measure intervals and obtain the characteristics of the mentioned surface.

Accurate mapping

The LiDAR sensor transmits a laser beam and measures the reflection. Very useful for cartography, especially in topography when access to technicians is difficult. Surveying with construction drones not only simplifies mapping, but also facilitates 3D modeling and analysis.

What results can you expect from the drone survey?

Topographic drones can produce data in the following formats: orthomosaic maps, digital surface models, digital terrain models, contour lines, point clouds, fault lines, orthophotos, etc.
